A Foundation for Care
Bamford Homes is a progressive establishment that first started in 1994. Ever since, we have helped a number of individuals accomplish their goals and work towards living a more independent life. Our attentive support has resulted in many of our service users remaining stable, despite most being chronically ill when first joining our service. We are passionate about supporting and empowering individuals in progressing to live an independent life and giving vulnerable people the opportunity to live in the community safely.

Bamford Homes is committed to promoting Independent Living within the meaning of the Recovery Model (NIMHE, 2005). A core aspect of Recovery is deinstitutionalisation, involving clients moving out of a hospital environment and living in the community with appropriate levels of support. At Bamford Homes we are passionate about empowering clients to live independently. Through the process of empowering, service users are able to achieve social inclusion. We place a premium on clients appreciating an improved quality of life by supporting them not only with activities of daily living but exploring other ventures such as educational courses, healthy eating and employment.

We incorporate robust assessments of risk and client needs, with a view of encouraging clients to access and utilise an optimal level of support. This not only helps forge a positive collaborative relationship with the client but also helps them view obstacles to recovery, as opportunities to access support and develop coping mechanisms.
